“It went fantastic and we are thrilled with the end result! Jon Longo, the owner, was a huge help from start to finish. He designed the new kitchen and family room with many ideas and details that we would never have thought of. He has a great eye for design and seemed to grasp exactly what we were aiming for from our first meeting. His team of professionals were also wonderful- very talented and a pleasure to have in our home. They all took great pride in their work and were always very concerned that we were happy with the end result. They were all very neat and cleaned up beautifully at the end of every day- even sweeping the garage and driveway. The custom built in cabinets, trim, fireplace mantel and crown moldings that were designed and built by Jimmie were well beyond our expectations- they are absolutely gorgeous!! Our project could not have turned out any better and we will be using Legacy One Construction in the future for additional projects. We feel very lucky to have discovered them!!!Description of work:

"Our experience with Legacy Construction has been great. Everyone working on our project showed phenomenal attention to detail and pride in their work. Not only was their work-ethic professional, everyone was genuinely respectful, pleasant, and responsive. A big bonus to us was the fact that we always knew what to expect. "My original contractor backed out on me after I'd purchased most of the materials for a bathroom remodel. Less than half the contractors I called responded. My husband and I chose Jon Longo of Legacy One Construction because he seemed reasonable, explained things clearly and is local. I crossed my fingers and hoped for the best, but braced for the unexpected and unpleasant things that come with remodeling. Jon's crew is absolutely wonderful. "Jon Longo has been “our contractor” for about 10 years now. During that time, Jon has completed many wonderful projects for us, bringing our “mid century modern” ranch into the 21st century. He has managed a complete kitchen renovation - moving walls and windows, repositioning all appliances and plumbing for more efficient cooking, installed a beautiful raised panel wainscoting look in our dining room, reconfigured a small half bath resulting in a considerable increase in useable space, redesigned closet space in the master bedroom so that we now have a walk in closet with a dedicated shoe closet(!) and brought a 1950's master bath beautifully up to date.
Jon is an excellent general contractor for a project of any size. He is incredibly easy to work with, is easy to reach via phone or text, and will always call you back promptly when you need to reach him.
Jon takes great pride in his work from the initial design and planning stage to the final finishing touches. All of the skilled professionals he brings onto a project are true craftsmen. They are polite, courteous and clean.
Unlike many other GC's, Jon has a very keen eye for design. His suggestions for “tweeking” our projects have given us “great” outcomes rather than “just ok”. Despite his many wonderful suggestions, he ultimately will always listen to his customer's wishes and provide exactly what they want.
Jon does keep a sharp eye on costs. For our recent master bathroom renovation, he saved us a great deal of money on plumbing, granite and tile without compromising the finished product.
Jon is not the least expensive GC you will ever find, but neither is he the most expensive. We have always found his prices to be extremely fair. Legacy Construction and Jon Longo, general contractor, completed a renovation of the entire exterior of our home. This work included upgrading the siding, framing all windows, replacing both our front and back porches, and rebuilding our screen porch. They came in within budget and on time. And, most importantly the quality of their work greatly exceeded our expectations.
In particular we were especially impressed by Jimmy, Jerry, and Yuri. Jimmy, foreman and lead carpenter, had extremely high standards which showed in his final products. Jerry, also an accomplished carpenter, did a fabulous job of rebuilding our screen porch and creating shelving and organization systems for our garage. Yuri and his staff spent many hours siding our house. All three are highly creative problem solvers, creativity which was needed when working on our 100 year old home.
We collaborated with Jon on the initial design but gave him freedom to be creative with the details. This worked well for us because Jon and his crew had many design ideas and suggestions we would not have considered but which enhanced our home.
Jon, his staff, and all his subcontractors were personable and polite.
I would highly recommend Legacy Construction to anyone considering work on their home.
